    Welcome

    Welcome to my website. The aim of the site is to store all the things I’ve learnt, and will learn in the future, about computers.

    Largely the content will centre around the Linux operating system since this is what I use on a daily basis. At the moment my laptop is setup with Arch Linux and Ubuntu Linux 11.10. The main software I use is Apache web server, PHP and MySql.

    At the moment I’m quite into developing Asp.Net in Visual Studio but using Apache on a Linux platform to display everything. I’m using MySql database with this setup as well. It’s been pretty interesting to do since I’m using VirtualBox with XP running on an Arch Linux platform which runs the LAMP server, which utilises the mod_mono Apache extension. It works really well and gets away from the dangers of the IIS platform.
